Yes. Your health profile never leaves your device. Only the ingredient text and general health tags are sent for analysis — never your name, email, or any personal identifier. See our privacy policy for full details.

FooDecoded uses advanced AI models to analyze ingredients, but results are informational only. They should not replace professional medical advice. For severe allergies or medical conditions, always read labels directly and consult a healthcare provider.
Ingredients are flagged based on your health profile. For example, a prediabetic profile flags added sugars and refined carbs, while a celiac profile flags gluten-containing ingredients. Update your profile anytime from the top-right icon in the app.
Tap the profile icon in the top-right of the main screen. Toggle conditions on or off, add or remove allergies, and changes save automatically.
Open the history view from the clock icon in the top-right. Swipe left on any item to delete it individually, or tap "Clear all" to wipe everything at once.
Yes. After each analysis you'll be prompted to give the product a name like "Lays Classic Chips." You can also rename scans later by swiping right on any item in history.
The camera and OCR work offline using Apple's Vision framework. However, the AI analysis requires an internet connection since it uses a cloud-based model.
